Hans-Christoph Voigt is a passionate corporate lawyer. He has been advising family and private companies, investors and management for over 20 years on all matters of corporate, stock corporation, capital market and takeover law. His practice focuses on providing ongoing advice to listed (family) companies on all matters of corporate governance, publicity, investment and divestment decisions, structural measures and the preparation and implementation of their general meetings, joint ventures and M&A transactions.
Vita:
Born in Hamburg in 1970. Studied law (1st state examination in 1996). Scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation. Research assistant to Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Klaus J. Hopt at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg (1996 - 2002). Legal clerkship in Hamburg (2nd state examination 2002). Post-doc research fellow with Prof. Hopt and head of the Swiss department at the Max Planck Institute (2002 - 2004). Doctorate on a topic of stock corporation law (University of Hamburg, 2004, awarded by the DAI).
Doctoral scholarship holder of the Working Group on Economics and Law of the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft. Member of the Financial Services Action Plan working group of the Stock Exchange Expert Commission at the Federal Ministry of Finance (2002 - 2004). Admitted to the bar (2004). Principal Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (2004 - 2009). Founding partner of VOIGT WUNSCH HOLLER Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten (2009 - 2023) and valbeek Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB (since 2024).
